Trompe L'oeil

The sky is trompe l'oeil and so is the paper curling off the wall. One of the ways trompe 'loiel images can be so amusing.
Trompe l'oeil means to "fool the eye".

Properly done, a trompe l'oeil mural can appear to open a room to the blue sky or a distant vista.

You can see more images in our trompe l'oeil portfolio.

This old upright was painted with a Celtic knot design as a nod to the Irish heritage of the client. The sheet music and pencil on the bench are also painted simply to amuse.
